BEACON (3 March 06) - At about 12:08am in the morning, a first alarm was transmitted at the Tallix Art Foundry, a sculpture facility that has made such famous statues as Divinci's Horse in Milan and the Korean War Memorial in Washington, DC. Upon arrival of the first alarm, smoke was found in the two story office building of the multi-acre complex. Upon further investigation, fire was found in the floor between the first and second floors.
A second alarm was then transmitted bringing the rescue and Village of Fishkill Quint (42-12) as the FAST Team to the scene. This also brought in Rombout and Glenham to the city for covers. Crews stretched two lines into the building and opened up the floor to extinguish the hidden fire. It took about 30 minutes to bring the fire under control and it is still under investigation.
