BEACON (29 Setember 06) - The City of Beacon Fire Department website was among one of the first fire department websites released in the region, dated now almost 10 years in 2008. It also was one of the first to launch a "virtual fire truck tour" for both the public and other departments to tour the city's fire apparatus online. Now with the purchase of new fire apparatus, new tours have been created and are in the process of being created to display the new rigs.

The new engine 33-11 is among the first of these new tours which have been donated by the creators of the website, Fisch Internet Solutions, FischSolutions.com. The local web firm plans on continuing to create virtual tours for the new Tower Ladder 33-45 and the new Rescue 33-55 in the coming months. The tours have been created using the popular Flash technology which is common for online animation.
