BEACON (5 March 2007) - At 10:35pm Engine 33-11 and Rescue 33-55 were dispatched for an industrial accident, man in machine incident, at the Chemprene Conveyor Belt Factory located on Fishkill Ave (Route 52). Upon arrival of the first due companies, they found a worker that had been pulled into a conveyor belt roller and had been extricated prior to arrival. The victim was in critical condition and unconscious on arrival, so a medevac was dispatched to transport the patient to the regional trauma center (Westchester Medical Center). Also at this time Engine 33-12 was dispatched to set up a landing zone at memorial park. However due to high winds, the medevac was grounded and the patient was transported to the area trauma center (St Francis Hospital) via ambulance.
