BEACON (11 August 2007) - At about 11:30pm Engine 33-12 and Tower Ladder 33-45 (EMS Support Truck) were dispatched along with an ambulance from Beacon Volunteer Ambulance and a Paramedic Flycar from Alamo for a reported person assaulted by a baseball bat. Once the scene was secured by city police, all units were placed in service as the victim refused medical care after being struck by a baseball bat during a mugging.

Later that night, at about 1:30am, the same assignment was once again assigned on a violent assault at the Tompkins Terrrace Housing Projects for a subject stabbed at building 3. Upon arrival of units they found a male stabbed twice in the back in stable condition. The subject initially refused care, however later was transported to an area hospital for his stab wounds.
