BEACON (30 December 2007) - 2007 ended out with a busy last few days. On December 29, at around 2am, Engine 33-12 and Tower Ladder 33-45 (EMS Support) were dispatched for a large fight of about 60 people in progress with one person stabbed at the Knights of Columbus on Townsend Ave. Upon arrival of the companies, they found a person with a slash wound to the face by a box cutter from the fight. The subject was in stable condition with minor injuries and was transported by Beacon Volunteer Ambulance to an area hospital.

Later that night City police responded to a drive-by-shooting with no one hit in the South Davies Housing Units. Found bullet holes in the exterior of one of the buildings may have been in relation to the stabbing incident prior. No fire department response was conducted at this incident.
