BEACON (8 Jan 05) - With over 20 years of service to the City of Beacon Fire Department and it's residents, Career Firefighter Scofield has retired. His last shift was almost uneventful with only one run in a 12 hour period.

Scofield was assigned to the "B" Shift at Station 2, and has experienced some of the city's best and worst moments in his tenure. Scofield has been awarded on two occasions for the rescue of a victim in a fire, plus his tremendous experience in the fire department will make it a tough spot to fill in the department.
