BEACON (16 March 2008) - City Police, Rescue 33-55, and EMS were all dispatched for a reported female in the water in the area of Simmons Lane in the Fishkill Creek. A witness reported seeing a female jumping into a dam in the area of 60 Simmons Lane. Upon further investigation, units found a female in the water just off shore downstream from where the witness saw her jump in. Members doned Ice Water Exposure Suits and qucikly brought the female into shore. Medical personnel then started CPR and rushed her to a near-by hosptial, St Lukes. She was later pronounced dead at that facility.
