BEACON (19 August 2008) - At around 1:30pm, a first alarm was transmitted with Rombout Tower Ladder 62-45 special called on the assignment due to Tower Ladder 33-45 being out of service. The alarm was transmitted to 914 Wolcott Ave for a reported fire on the second floor. Upon arrival of Engine 33-11 and Rescue 33-55, acting Tower Ladder 33-45, they reported heavy fire on the second floor of a 50 x 40 2-story wood frame two family house.

Engine 33-11 stretched two 1 3/4" attack lines to the second floor apartment and knocked down the main body of fire in about 15 minutes which was confirmed to the upstairs apartment. Also during this time, a second alarm was transmitted. The second alarm brought Village of Fishkill Quint 42-12 to the scene as the FAST team and Glenham 43-12 to cover the city. Also Village of Wappingers Ladder 68-45 was placed on stand-by in quarters due to Rombout 62-45 being special called to the scene.
