BEACON (09 December 2008) - The 2008 election for the 2009 officers of the department was held on Tuesday, December 2 for the line officers and Tuesday, December 9 for the chief officers. Incumbent Chief Tim Joseph was elected for his third term as Chief of the Department. Assistant Chief Dennis Lahey, Jr, the incumbent, was also elected for another term as Assistant Chief.

Beacon Engine elected only a Captain, electing John Pellot, the incumbent. Lewis Tompkins Hose elected a Caption, Matt Smith, the incumbent. They also elected Incumbent 1st Lieutenant Kari Lahey as well as Nakia Morales as the 2nd Lieutenant. Mase Hook and Ladder elected Matt Sklenar as the Captain, incumbent 1st Lieutenant Dan Ciralli, and Brandon Hernandez to 2nd Lieutenant.
