BEACON (01 July 2009) - On Tuesday morning, June 30th, Engine 33-12 took in a walk-in stabbing at city police headquarters. The subject walked into city police headquarters with a minor stab wound to his back. Upon arrival of the ambulance, they found a minor injury and the patient refused medical care.

The following evening, July 1st, Engine 33-11 and Rescue 33-55 were dispatched to the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge West-Bound span for a multi-vehicle accident. Upon arrival of the companies, they found a 17 vehicle accident with 4 tractor-trailers that stretched over nearly one mile of highway. The companies accessed the patients of the incident and found that none of them sustained any injuries and no fire department action was needed. The companies quickly went back in service and returned to quarters.
