BEACON (24 September 2009) - At about 6pm, a first alarm assignment was transmitted for a kitchen fire at 92 Anderson Street. Upon arrival of Engine 33-11, he found smoke showing and an active fire in the kitchen/ living room area of the private dwelling. A water can was used to darken down the fire on arrival as companies setup for work.

Two 1 3/4" attack hose lines were stretched and knocked down the fire in about 5 minutes. Also at this time a second alarm was transmitted bringing Rescue 33-55 and Village of Fishkill Quint 42-12 (FAST Team) to the scene. This also brought in Glenham and Rombout to cover the city. The fire was extinguished in about 10 minutes and was held to the kitchen/ living room area.
