BEACON (6 March 2010) - Just before 1am on Thursday, February 25, 2010, a stabbing was dispatched for Engine 33-11 and Tower Ladder 33-45 in front of 7 Franklin Avenue. Upon arrival of the companies they found two subjects stabbed by a person who fled the scene. Both victims received minor stab wounds to the arms and were transported to St Luke's hospital with the minor injuries.
A few weeks later, on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at about midnight Engine 33-12 and Tower Ladder 33-45 were dispatched to the area of Beacon High School for a reported 16 year old stabbed and about 20 people fighting. While enroute Dutchess 911 advised units to stage further away as they were receiving numerous phone calls of up to 200 people fighting, with multiple stabbed, and reported persons with guns. City Police along with outside agencies had the scene secure in about 20 minutes and city fire units were requested to respond in. Only one person was found to be stabbed, with one stabbing wound. The subject was transported BLS to St Luke's with a minor stab wound.
