BEACON (23 May 2010)
- At around 10:30pm, a 1st alarm was transmitted for a reported attic fire. Upon arrival of Engine 33-12, they had nothing showing. Upon further investigation and once companies gained entry to the attic, they found an active fire in the attic. Companies quickly tried to knock down the fire with the PW Water Can, however the fire was too far advanced.
A second alarm was transmitted bringing Rescue 33-55 to the scene along with Village of Fishkill Quint 42-12 (FAST Truck). Glenham 43-11 and Village of Wappingers Ladder 68-45 (Rombout Tower Ladder 62-45, Out of Service) responded to cover the city.
The fire was knocked down with a 1 3/4 attack line and 500 gallons of tank water. No injuries were sustained and the fire is believed to be electrical in nature.
