BEACON (10 July 01) - On Sunday, July 10, 2001, at about 11:00AM, City of Beacon Fire Department was dispatched to a reported large pile of mulch on fire at the City Transfer Station on the end of Dennings Ave. Upon arrival of Engine 3 (33-13), they found the 3 large mulch piles at the City Transfer Station fully involved. The fire took 3 trips and a total of about 10 hours to extinguish.
