BEACON (12 April 05) - On Tuesday, April 12, 2005 at 17:00, a first alarm was sounded for a report of a possible house fire in the area of Beekman Street and Red Flynn Drive. Upon arrival of Engine 33-12, heavy fire was showing from the rear of the two family duplex located on River Street. A second alarm was transmitted, bringing Rescue 33-55 and Village of Fishkill Quint 42-12 with their FAST Team to the scene. Also bringing Rombout and Glenham for stand-by to cover the city. Firefighters made an aggressive interior attack which kept damage minimal in the residence next to the fire. No injuries were reported and the fire is being investigated by the City of Beacon Fire Investigation Division.
