BEACON (12 December 06) - The department's annual line officer and bi-annual chief's election was conducted the past couple of weeks. The membership elected the incumbent chief, Chief Joseph, as chief of the department for his second term. The members also elected Dennis Lahey, Jr as the department's assistant chief.

As for the line officers, the members elected John Pellot, the incumbent captain, as Captain of Station 1 for his third term. They also elected Frank Merritt, Jr as the 2nd lieutenant. One position, the 1st lieutenant, remains vacant.

At Station 2, all incumbents were elected. Captain Pete Sine was elected as Captain and Terry Stanulwich was elected as 1st lieutenant. 4 positions remain vacant including the 2nd and 3rd lieutenant as well as the Rescue Captain and Lieutenant positions.

At fire headquarters a clean slate of members filled all of the officers positions. A Captain was elected, however he has asked to withhold his name; Matt Naughton as 1st Lieutenant; and Chris Monroe as 2nd Lieutenant.
