BEACON (14 July 05) - At around 9:30PM a First Alarm was transmitted for a house fire in the area of 12 Mountain Lane. Upon arrival of Engine 33-11, heavy smoke and fire out of two windows was showing from a 20x40 2-story wood-frame private dwelling.

A second alarm was transmitted bringing in covers, Rescue 33-55 to the scene, and Village of Fishkill Quint 42-12 as the FAST truck. Companies also began a quick attack which was greatly slowed due to poor water flow. A special call of two additional engines (Glenham 43-11 and Chelsea 35-11) were called in above the second alarm to assist in bringing in water from DePuyster Ave.

The occupant of the house suffered minor burns and was transported to a local hospital. The fire is currently under investigation by the city fire investigation unit.
