BEACON (26 Sept 00) - On Tuesday, September 26, 2000, at about 02:30, a Beacon Police unit patrolling the area came about a working structure fire on School Street. Beacon Fire Department and Beacon Volunteer Ambulance were then dispatched. Upon arrival of Ladder 33-45, he reported a one story dwelling which was heavily involved. Chief 33-1 then requested a second alarm bringing Rescue 1 (33-55) and Village of Fishkill and Glenham for covers. The fire took about twenty minutes to control and is labeled as being intentionally set in origin. No injuries were reported.
