Quarters

    One of Beacon's best attributes is it's history. The city's organized fire department dates back to 1886 and during which time has had some of the most beautiful station houses in the region. In addition, the city is also one of the few which has operated from the same companies (three) throughout it's history.

   Currently the city operates out of three. Station 1 (Beacon Engine Co), which runs out of it's historic 1889 station house. Station 2 (Lewis Tompkins Hose Co), which operates out of the city's newest 1982 station. Lastly, Fire Headquarters (Mase Hook and Ladder Co), which serves from it's large 3 story 1911 station house.
